Name: Devante Ford
College: Delaware Valley
Position: Defensive Tackle
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 330

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Devante: Big Run Stopper

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Devante: I have and will continue to Workout at Team 85 in Bordentown, New Jersey. Those facilities are amazing.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Devante: Vince Wilfork because not only does he take on double teams and sometimes triple teams, he can cause teams to shy away from running inside.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Devante: When breaking down film, I always look at the offensive linemen’s first step off the ball and if he is an aggressive or passive blocker in the run and pass game.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Devante: What separates me from others at my position is my first step off the snap. People assume because of my size that I’m slow, but they are in for a rude awakening once the ball is snapped.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Devante: I would bring a player that can play all three downs and wants to win and work hard to achieve that. Off the field, I like to give back and work in the community.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Devante: Final pitch, if a team were to give me a shot they would not regret it. I will show up everyday ready to work and compete and do whatever will help make the team better and put us in positions to win games.
