NFL Draft 2017 Prospect: Deadrick Jones

Name: Deadrick Jones
College: Morgan State
Position: Cornerback
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 175

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Deadrick: If I could describe my style of play in three words that would be smart, fast, and quick.

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Deadrick: I’m going to train hard and focus on my combine times, in order to out do my competition and show that I am better than they are.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Deadrick: If I could compare myself to one current or former NFL player it would be Former Eagles safety, Brian Dawkins. I think this because when he was on the field he was a hard hitter and he made plays. Also, like Dawkins, I can help my team get the job done.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Deadrick: When studying film, I look for movement of the wide receiver, his alignment, and the accuracy of the quarterback.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Deadrick: What separates me from other players at my position is that I’m quick, fast, and aggressive. I can also play cornerback, nickel, or dime to check fast wide receivers that safeties cannot guard.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Deadrick: The abilities I can bring to a team that will stand out are being a great teammate and role model.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Deadrick: Where do I sign?
