Position: Cornerback
Height: 5’10”

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Darion: Aggressive, Relentless, instinctive.

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Darion: Continue working on the vital things of being a defensive back as in my footwork, transitioning in and out of breaks, flipping my hips with quickness, control and speed.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Darion: I would say Tyrann Mathieu. We are identical in size and have the same play style. He covers good inside, can blitz, has good hands and is an excellent tackler that can get the ball out at will. Me and him have the ability to play both inside and out.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Darion: A variety of things. Common formations, WR alignment, release tendencies and route tendencies. I look at a number of things, but mainly what the offensive coordinator “hangs his hat on”.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Darion: My ability to catch the football. I feel like I have just as good of hands as any receiver in the NFL.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Darion: Relatable. I can converse and vibe with anyone I may encounter. I love to figure people out and get to know them better.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Darion: I’m willing to do whatever that is asked of me to earn a spot on your football team. I will play my butt off on all special team units. I’m willing to learn any position that I’m placed in whether it be corner, nickel or safety. Most of all, I will not be a distraction to the organization in the locker room, on the field or off the field.
