Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Some of my goals heading into my final collegiate season were to win the PSAC Championship, be selected All-Conference and All-American, increase my interceptions, and provide leadership to the team.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Physical, Crafty, and Disciplined.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
This offseason, I will train and prepare for the draft or other pro opportunities by working with my speed and agility trainer, lifting, and improving my technique for the next level.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When studying film, I tend to first look for down and distance, personnel set, where the ball is located (either hash or middle of field), what formation the offense is in, what route combinations can come from this formation, and what my opponent is doing on the play (such as how he runs his routes, does he lean to a particular side before he breaks for his route, or what his speed and physicality is like). After studying, I then start to visualize what technique I can use against my opponent to help put me in a better position to make a play.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I would say my speed and quickness to get out of breaks to make a play on the ball, and the physicality that I have to get off blocks are the biggest thing that separates me from other players at my position.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field, I will bring a hard nose Cornerback that’s accountable, physical, energetic, and ready to compete each day. Off the field, I’m a student of the game. I watch a lot of film to prepare myself for my opponents. In addition, I possess the character to represent any organization I am fortunate to join.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
If you are looking for a Cornerback with a chip on his shoulder and ready to compete every rep in practice and during the game, I am your man. I don’t take opportunities for granted, and I’m dedicated to the game and my craft.
