Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The number one goal coming into the season was to find different ways to get the new players on the team to “by in” or intrigue them into finding their understanding of the scheme, team chemistry, and overall a different type of love for the game. I understand that I go to an HBCU and also one of the only Historical Black Colleges that is located on the western part of the United States. Therefore there are many distractions and sometimes makes it more difficult as a student athlete. My team had previously won the conference championship the two previous years and we wanted to get past the hump. I wanted to help the defense get off the field on most third-downs to allow the d-line to get a rest. They created the pressures to allow the bad throws to help me gain a better position on the ball. There are many games I had only went 2 or less targets. I cause havoc for my height.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I am the type of player to take care of business first. I am always in or around my department and also a member on the club promoting agricultural education, research, community service projects, and quality mentorship. Second I am a player of the game. I develop a critical understanding of the scheme and the mission for each game. I am knowledge driven and teach by my actions. Actions speak a thousand words and I would rather give my teammates an example.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on first alignment, assignment, and technique. Later I focus on when the ball decides to approach the air that there are no positions on the field anymore. That is now my quarterback and that I am now a receiver when the receiver decides to make a decision on the route. I find happiness in every lesson learned after the games. I wanted to focus on myself first as a player in my mind and when I had an understand in the mind the field came natural.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from other players at this position is my medium stature and height fools many quarterbacks to act free less with the ball and make over-throws and inaccurate ones. With the type of d-line to get to the ball and linebackers that close pockets allows my speed and my abnormally long arms for my height to create problems within the defensive scheme.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I have a few places in mind to train and teach young people how to play the game of football in a safe way. I am also on the verge of finding an agent and possibly hooking up with high school quarter back to throw the skin.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I have the leadership ability of a senior defensive back while only winning three conference championships as a red-shirt freshman I quickly had to get accustomed to playing at a higher level at a young age. I am small and compact with strength and speed running a 4.45 I am one of the fastest DB’s at Langston University while also having the knowledge of a safety. Very dangerous in zone but also highly effective in man coverage.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

I am a student first athlete second. Every move I make has been thought about intensively and expressed 110%. I have a big heart for the game and hope to change someone’s life with my abilities.
