Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I had team goals first. To win the conference, make the playoffs of course. We fell short the last few weeks of the season, but we played pretty strong for the most part.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I think they would say I am a leader. I try to bring the best out of everyone around me with words or with my own play. I’m very expressive in my play, love to celebrate. And most of all just love to have fun.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
I focus first on tendencies that I can find in the offense. Plays they run in certain formations and things like that. Then I zero in on the offensive tackles I’m going against. Some tendencies they have in run blocking and pass protection, thier stances, how they like to set, how they like to throw their hands. Just looking for things I can take advantage of.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I think one thing that separates me is my versatility. I’m quick enough to play on the outside and get on an edge in pass rush or set an edge in the run game, but I can also kick inside to stop the run or pass rush due to my size.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I’m just going to grind. Do everything I can to put myself in the best shape for whatever opportunity comes my way.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I’ll give the ability to pass rush and play the run well. I’ll be a quicker guy that can even just come in on third down inside or outside and get you a sack. And I’ll give you a player that you can rely off the field, with good character and a drive to help the community where ever I go.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL/CFL or any other pro leagues?
I ask them to just give me a chance. All I can ask for is a foot in the door. If you give me that, I promise to do my best so that you don’t regret it.
