Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Lead my team to a conference championship and a bowl game. We beat Miami at Ohio in the Bahamas bowl. Did not go to a conference championship but got the 3rd bowl win in school history.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say I am a leader and the hardest worker on the team. That I play the game with an attitude and that’s what makes a good offensive linemen. Also someone they can always depend on when they need help.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I am always trying to find was to better my technique and find ways that will help me and my game. I am my biggest critic when it comes to grading my performance. Always thinking, “yeah I did good on this play but how can I make it better?” Hands, hat placement, pad level, these are just some of the things I look at when evaluating myself.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

When your getting Matthew Trehern, you are getting a guy that loves the game. Someone that will come to work everyday and be consistent. Someone you can count on every time and don’t have to worry if he is going to show up late. I have never been handed anything in life and will come in if given the opportunity and take someone’s job.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I was training for UAB’s pro day with my strength and conditioning coach, Lyle Henley. Training speed, power, and quickness. Things I showcased yesterday at my Pro day. I will continue to train till draft day.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Like I mentioned before you will get a guy that you can count on everyday and don’t have to worry about off the field issues. What I bring to the table on the field is, I can play all 5 Oline positions, quick to learn playbooks and high IQ for the game.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I just want a shot, I just need one team to take a chance on me and once that opportunity comes they will not regret their decision. They will get everything out of me and then some. I will do what I have to do to make that team reach their goals.
