Name: Marchie Murdock Jr
School: Illinois/Iowa State (Graduate Student)
Position: Wide Receiver
Height: 6’1″
Weight: 205
Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
My goal was to help the team get to a bowl game and be a productive asset to the program both on and off the field.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Smooth, Fast, Physical.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I have been training with Atlet Sports and Wide Receiver coach David Robinson. I have been working on improving my endurance, speed, and strength.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When I study film, I hone in on tendencies and keys the DBs and LBs give before the snap. Being aware of what all 11 guys on defense are doing gives me an advantage throughout the game.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
My preparation is what separates me from other Wide Receivers. I also know how to move the chains through clean route running.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field, my strengths are route running and the ability to catch the ball in traffic. Off the field, a team will get a guy that’s active in my community and always looking to spread positive energy.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
I am a player coming in that’s willing to do whatever is necessary to help my team win. I do not shy away from big moments and my passion of the game is the same in practice as it is on game day.
