What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My personal goal going into the season was to be an All-American. I ended up leading the PSAC conference with just over 1,200 yards rushing (9th in all of D2) and added 10 touchdown’s in 11 games. I came short of being and All-American, but I am proud to have been first team all conference and 2nd team academic all American.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

The COVID year allowed me to grow a lot in the off seasons leading up to the 2021 season. I was able to mature mentally and physically and really focus on training and perfecting my craft.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I’m a workhorse running back. My style isn’t flashy, it’s tough, hard, physical running. I’m a do it all for the team type of guy embracing any role I can to make the team better. I am a natural leader and always gravitate towards leading.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I do a film study of the opposing team to have a mental picture of what and who they are going to throw at me. What techniques are the DL in, do the LBs have good gap discipline, do the DBs roll and fire often? As for watching film on myself, the first thing I always check for is my initial footwork. That sets the tone for my success each play. As a RB vision is essential to success so I always go through my reads again in film. I stay creative in film break down and look for ways to be a second quicker out of a cut or be a second more patient in setting up my blocks. Film is perhaps my best tool in identifying where my focus should be.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

The mentality I have as a ball carrier is what really separates me. Knowing the chains and what I need to every time I get the ball is second nature to me. If it’s 4th and 1 I want the ball and I want to run through somebody to move the chains. If it’s 3rd and 12 I want the ball and that challenge to make somebody miss and fight for those 12 yards. I don’t seek out contact if I can avoid it but I take pride in finishing every run falling forward, leaving the defender second guessing next time I run his way.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I’ve always trained on my own since I was in HS. I’ve never been able to afford trainers but I never stop trying to learn. I am constantly looking at what drills the top guys are doing. I also love to create my own drills. Awaiting my next opportunity, I will be lifting regularly and hitting the field for a lot of footwork, change of direction, balance, acceleration and speed work. I also workout with a QB running routes both out of the backfield and as a WR.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am a natural born leader and I love being a part of something bigger than myself. I will always do what’s right for the program both on and off the field, as well as hold my teammates accountable. I understand that if you want to be elite you have to do more than just what is asked of you. I am always content, but never satisfied and my hunger will be infectious throughout the locker room.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

To any team who takes a chance on adding me to the roster as an asset, you will get consistency. I’ll show up early with a positive attitude every single day ready to outwork everyone. I’m confident in my ability but not cocky. I am the ultimate competitor and am craving my next opportunity to compete playing this game. My passion is running the rock, but I take pride in my skill set as a blocker as well as my ability to be an impact special teams player. I know I can compete at any level, I truly just need the opportunity and I will give everything in me to be successful.
