Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?
The biggest goal I accomplished this season was securing an Invite to the CFL combine. Hopefully with some more exposure and a good showing at the combine I could sneak my way into a pro day and show my stuff.
Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?
My coaches would say I’m a very hardworking player with a lot of confidence and great leadership skills. Whatever I do guys tend to follow.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When I’m studying film I try my best to watch my routes, watch the DBs and how they adjust to what I’m giving them and from there I can see what I got to do to further to get myself open.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What separates me is that I’m big and strong with sure hands. I’m tough, I’ll go down the middle and get that contested catch. I feel like my drive and passion also separates me from the pack. I’ve always been overlooked so I use that as extra motivation, but I’m an overall solid WR that can do everything you ask me to do.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
This offseason I’m training With Gameready, a training facility located in the Vancouver area. My trainers Jordan and Sat are probably 2 of the best guys to train with on the whole west coast. They specialize in getting guys right for the combine.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
The strengths and abilities I will bring to a team is my overall toughness. I won’t shy away from anything. I’m versatile, I can play all 3 phases of the game, offense, defense, special teams. I will catch anything thrown my way and have the ability to get YAC. I block every play and when need be I can covert to DB and shut down the other team’s best WR.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
My final pitch to NFL teams is to just don’t overlook the Canadian kid. I will come into camp ready to work, a straight dog, no reps off, no plays off. If you draft me you are drafting a true pro. I’ve been around the game my whole life, my uncle played professional football and taught me the ways. You won’t have to worry about me off the field and on the field you will be getting the most talented WR. All I need is one shot, one team to truly believe in me and I’ll make that team very happy.
