What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I set a goal of getting my second straight first team All-GLIAC award and I did accomplish that goal.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
We were only able to practice about 6 times in the spring and our summer strength and conditioning was altered because of our school mandating the vaccine. Even with the circumstances I got to work on things I saw in film from the year prior. It gave me a chance to take a long look at my technique and how I can adjust to make myself more attractive to pro teams. One major thing I got to work on was my pass setting.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I think my coaches and teammates would say that I’m hard working, physical, great leader and teammate, and coachable.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I focus on a couple different things pre-snap, during the play, and post-snap. For pre-snap I look if there are any tells in my stance, split or the way I look in my stance. During the play I look at my footwork a lot, pad level, and hand position. Post-snap I look for if I am finishing my block or picking up the ball carrier.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I believe I set myself apart by my knowledge of the game and wanting to learn more and more about the game itself. I am someone that loves to learn new things and I don’t get complacent.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I will be training with Jim Kielbaso at impact sports performance.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I am very mentally tough, I believe I can get through any situation good or bad. I am very calm and poised in high pressure situations.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I’m extremely hard working and coachable. Ive been the underdog my whole life, I always have something prove and I will continue that wherever I go.
