Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

I became team captain. That was one of the most important and overall most satisfying goal that I accomplished before the start of the season. Making my numbers better in the weight room as well as on the field were some other goals that I accomplished.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say I’m a team-first guy. Willing to sacrifice personal accolades for the success of the team. Would also say that I’m very competitive. I compete in everything that I do because that’s one of the most important factors in becoming a better football player and human being. Life is about competing.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When watching film, I critique myself first. Correct my technique to be better the next time. Watching opponents, I look for tendencies, signals, QB arm strengths and things of that nature. I see if I’m dealing with a physical receiver, a quick one, finesse guy, and things of that nature. I want to know everything about a person that I’m going to battle against.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

What separates me from others is my competitive nature. I’ll compete with anybody and bet on myself every time. Also my football IQ. I played a lot of football in college so just learning the game over the years gives me an edge. I also believe that there is not one person out there that will work harder than me.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I’m training at XPE Sports in Ft. Lauderdale. Working on getting bigger, faster, stronger and more flexible. I believe I’ll be in the best shape possible when the time comes, on the field and off the field.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I’ll bring leadership. Someone that holds guys accountable as well as holding myself equally accountable. You’ll get someone who’s a smart football player, confident, and willing to go out and give his best everyday. Off the field I’m willing to help others and change lives with the platform I have been given. Football is small compared to the other things going on in our world and it’s always good to keep that into perspective. Being able to impact others away from football because of football, means so much more.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I honestly feel like I’m one of the best corners in this draft class. I’m willing to come in and work my butt off to earn my respect. I’m smart and I’ll learn the system fast. I’m confident in my abilities and like I said before, I’ll compete against anybody. I’m a hard worker and I love the game of football. You won’t last unless you truly love the game and I honestly love it. I’ll do whatever it takes to bring championships and you won’t regret making me a part of your organization.
