What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

This past season I wanted to challenge myself in the backend with coverage. This season I have allowed just two receptions and 0 touchdowns within just 6 games. My grade average after each game was an 87% & I was blessed to have the ability to play not just OLB but Nickel & some Strong Safety this past season. In which that speaks volume for someone at my size to have the opportunity to bounce around all over the field like that.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I really took an interest within my body, learning the system better and elevating my game. Being 23 in college Football really shows the maturity difference compared to an 18 or 19 year old. The game slows down significantly & you really try to separate yourself more towards the pro level.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches & would speak very highly of myself. They will be able to explain the versatility I bring to the game. Not many at my size have the opportunity to have variety of options with a position on the field. My coaches praise how humble I carry myself, how unselfish I am, the ability to give relentless effort, my respect for others, and my optimism. I am always looking to pick people up and bring a positive energy. I present the game of Football as if it is my job.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I watch film I love to determine what concepts the offense likes to run. Identifying the opponents top run or passing plays can help lead you to the correct direction of the ball. I also like identifying specific formations and personnel. When your on the field you must be aware of everything, whether that’s whose on the field or not. These type of reads take place pre-snap which could help your team dominate the offense just off of certain alignments. Knowing the strengths & weaknesses of an offense could take you a long way & your IQ could take you from being a 5 year NFL player to a 10+ NFL player. Everyone is talented in the league you must know other tactics to elevate your game!

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My separation from other players at my position are due to my versatility on the field. I can play both sides of the ball & more importantly I can play four different defensive positions comfortably. That simply shows how coachable I can be. I am always open to learning more whether that’s from a coach or player and I have the ability to adjust in an efficient manner. It doesn’t take me long to switch a gear which makes coaching even easier.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

As I prepare for the NFL Draft, I would like to train with Darryl Daniel (Former NFL WR) , Chris Cook (Former NFL CB), Rich Garcia, Jorrell Owens and Johnnie Martin. I believe each trainer could help me get the numbers scouts would love to see! I will also be earning my master’s degree in business from Carson Newman University.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Being where I come from “Lancaster, PA” I can bring that grit you need on a team. I’m willing to do whatever for us to win. If that results to me playing a bit out of position I don’t mind because at the end of the day I am a Football player. I never been a one dimension guy. Off the field I’d love to build relationships within the organization and in the community. Giving back has been installed in me since a youth where we would go around different parks in the city and dispose the trash for kids to have a better atmosphere to play in. I love to give off genuine energy it’s never about money. It’s all love with everything I do.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I hope & pray an NFL manager would draft me because I am a team first guy. I am open to playing any position on the field. I’ve never been in trouble my entire life with the law. I would never bring that kind of negative distraction to an organization. I’m focused on being professional at all times and respecting the shield at all times. I belong in the league among the best. I believe I will be one of the best. I just need someone to take a chance on me & you won’t regret it.
