Name: Kris Brown
School: University of Mary Hardin-Baylor
Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
My goal was to showcase my abilities and the hard work I’ve put in, I wanted to prove to everyone that injuries don’t define you and that I was going to come back better then ever. I was shooting to be an All-American and break records. I knew it wasn’t going to come easy, especially for someone coming back from an injury, but I was determined to reach my goals and full potential.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Physical, Relentless, Fast.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will train at my University’s facilities, sacrifice training facility in Pflugerville, TX, and go to Footwork King in Houston for footwork.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When studying film, I try to focus on learning the formation and the route combination of the offense and I lock in on the tendencies of the QB and his key Receivers.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
The combination of my athletic ability, awareness, competitiveness, work ethic, and mindset.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I have a strong instinct and ability to read plays and break on the ball. I am aggressive, relentless, and quick. I am corrigible and possess the mental toughness and leadership skills with the physical attributes needed to make a difference defensively.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
I am a shut-down corner. I can really play the run and I have good cover ability. My instinct and athletic ability are my most valuable assets as a DB. With that being said, I am also versatile enough to be a utility player. A team could put me in for goal line packages, use me on kickoff and punt coverage teams, or as a punt or kick returner.
