Koree Reed: 2018 Draft Prospect Interview

Name: Koree Reed
School: Hartwick College
Position: Wide Receiver/Kick Returner/Cornerback
Height: 5’11”
Weight: 187

Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

My goals were to finish first in the country in every statistical category, to break the D3 records I set last year, and to win a national championship.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Fast, Physical, and Mossed.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I will continue to train at my school and with Cole King.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

I look for tendencies in the corners, every receiver has a favorite move and the same applies to defensive backs. Some are very grabby and physical, some are very patient, some will give away the inside, others won’t bite on the first move.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

My speed, strength, and ball skills separate me from other receivers. I have 4.4 speed, while hitting 225 for 17 reps, and I can locate a football in the eye of a tornado.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am a leader, not by talk, but by actions. I am a motivator, I truly believe I can do anything that I set my mind to and I will pass that belief on to others. On the field, if the ball is in the air, either I catch it or I catch it. On 4th and 99 with one second left, if I get the ball, I believe I will win the game. I also don’t make mistakes off of the field, my life is football and I have no interest in partying, doing drugs, or anything that could possibly lead to me not playing football.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I will play for free, I have no interest in money, I simply love this game. As a five year old kid, I told everyone I’d play professional football and I’m a man of my word. You can give me food and a tent to live in and I will show up every single day with the same excitement as a kid on Christmas morning. I am going to play professional football. The only question is will it be for your team, or will you be game planning on how to help your corner cover me.
