Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

Some of my goals coming into my final season was to have a better season than I had last year, turn heads, and try to help my team to a bowl.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Quick, strong, and overwhelming.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I decided to come back to school and train with one of our strength coaches. I felt being trained by someone who been though this process would really help, and in the process, finish my last semester and graduate.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

When I am studying film, the main thing I look at is the Offensive Linemen I’ll be going against. I look at their stance to see if they are going to show me what their going to do. Things like can I tell when they are about to pull, or when I’m pass rushing, do they try to protect the outside or inside more. Just things to give me an advantage.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I feel what separates me from other people at my position is, I’m fast for my size, I’m always one of the strongest on the field, also I’m shorter then most defensive lineman with long arms, so I always got great leverage.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

My final pitch is I have been playing this game since six years old. Coming out of high school, my school didn’t have a team, so I never played for the same team twice and I ended up not having any film until my senior year. So I took the JUCO route and went from Buffalo all the way to California right after graduation. It was hard being so far away from home, I didn’t have a car, so I walked and hour to school every day. My school didn’t have a meal plan, so I went days without eating. But after all that, I ended up in Louisiana where it got a lot better. I was hurt my first season, so I didn’t play as good as I wanted too, so my second season, I wanted to make a statement which I feel I did. I guess all I’m trying to say is I would do whatever it takes to be great.
