What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The goals I set for my senior year were to be named a captain and to also be named first-team all conference. I was able to exceed these goals, by being named First-Team All Region by http://D3Football.com and First-Team All American by the American Football Coaches Association and the Associated Press. While feeling honored and proud, these awards and accomplishments have furthered my motivation and determination to play at the next level of competition.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I did not use the extra year of eligibility because I was able to graduate in 3 and a half years with a bachelors degree and two minors. This early graduation has allowed me the opportunity to put more time and effort into my training for the next level this spring.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I think that my coaches and teammates would say that I am a humble, smart player, that plays with purpose and determination to not only better myself, but the entire team. They would also say that I play fast, which gives me an advantage to play at a higher level.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I try to find little things that I can personally improve on, steps, alignment, angles, footwork are a couple of examples. Effort is another point of emphasis when I watch film, I watch to make sure that I am giving full effort the whole play, every play. I also look for tendencies or habits of the team I am preparing for to familiarize myself with what they do and when they do it, and give myself another advantage and hopefully be another step faster.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I think my length and speed can set me apart. I am able to cover a lot of ground quickly and close gaps fast. I also track the ball well and have good football instincts.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I am training at Synergy Sports Performance, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to get myself bigger, faster, and stronger, and to better prepare my body and mind for a professional opportunity.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I think my speed will help a team on the field along with my willingness to learn and get better everyday, I am always looking to get a little better everyday. I think that my character and attitude will help off of the field and in the locker room. I like to get to know my teammates and make things fun, all while having a high level of character and respect for every person that I encounter. I also like to give, in any way that I can in order to help people in any situation or way that they may need.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I am willing to work and learn as hard and as much as possible to help a team be successful in any way that I can. I could play multiple defensive back positions, whichever one fits best to help the team.
