Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Team goals didn’t go as planned. My biggest goal this year was to improve on my blocking and I did!
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My Coaches and teammates will tell you that I am tough, physical, leader, authentic, just a team player whatever it is to help us win I’m doing it!
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When study film I pay attention to details. For instant some guys may have a high motor at the beginning of the game if I attack him early he won’t last long. Some guys be out of control only know one run/pass rush but I would see it so many times on film I’d be prepared for it when the time comes. Another example when guys at blitzing the defense could give it away easily. Cat blitz for instance dog blitzes the safety will tell exactly what you need to know base on alignment.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
There are a few thing that will separate me from guys at my position! You may have a TE that can block but can’t run routes, you may have a TE that can run routes but can’t block. With me you get a 2 for 1 deal. A guy that can block & run routes, not only run routes but get separation and yac. A defense wouldn’t know what to do with a TE like myself. My passion for the game is another thing that with set me aside from other guys! The only way you beat me out is if I beat myself !!! I also can play multiple special teams.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My off-season plans while training will be me just getting better all around. In the weight room & on the field. Routes can definitely improve, technique, running, and catching.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Whatever team drafts me will be getting a guy that’s gone bring that dog mentality to the team, a guy who’s willing to do whatever it takes for the team to be successful. A authentic guy with great character. Off the field you will be getting a father first then a counselor/mentor I’ve always wanted to become a mentor to younger men. I know it’s hard growing up without guidance and with the platform the young kids would be thrilled to have me as a mentor!
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to any team or any league that decides to give me an opportunity will be thank you! Not only have you gave me a chance to change my life you guys are blessing me with a opportunity to change others lives as well, such as family, young people in my community, & young people across the world.
