What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
One of my goals I set for my senior year of college football was to be one of top HBCU athletes and I can truly say I worked hard enough to earn that position, being one of the 40 athletes to get invited to first ever HBCU combine. It was a blessing to get that recognition and be able to show case my talents in front of 32 teams and also being invited to first ever HBCU legacy bowl.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I was blessed to be able to get the extra year of eligibility just to get better, perfect my craft and learn the game a little bit more. I feel like everything happens for a reason and the extra year put me in a better position to chance my dreams.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say that I’m a Great football player on and off the field and one of the hardest working players you have met, just a guy who is willing to do anything to help his team.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
One thing I focus on is route running and technique , always trying to find new ways to beat my opponent.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
Speed and my work ethic.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Focusing on getting faster and a maintaining a better diet.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Being able to make big plays when they are needed and speed to blow by defenses.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
That all I need is an opportunity and I promise they wouldn’t regret giving me a chance to be on their team.
