What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goal for the season was to be seen by the NFL, to break records, and have the breakout season I needed to in order to turn heads.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I took advantage by training like a pro and taking care of my body. Going to the gym every day and doing research on what was needed of me in order to play at the pro level.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I think they would say that I’m the hardest worker in the film room, weight room, and field. I am dedicated and dependable for my coaches and fellow teammates.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When studying film I focus on every tell the opposing team may give me. Looking at formations and tendencies the other players may have can put me in the right position when playing in the game. The film is everything to me. When watching myself I focus on decreasing the amount of step I may be taking on getting to the ball and watching where I need to put my body in order to make the play. Watching a film can increase your productivity in this game if done right.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My passion and my engine separates me from other players. I have had to work for everything during my career and had no handouts. I also believe that how hard I work is unmatched. I truly have dedicated my life to this game and that takes away a lot of other things that go on during someone’s life but in the end, it will all be worth it because hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t show up and I believe I have both.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My plan is to continue to get better in every aspect of my game by showing up to my workouts and killing it in the gym every day. It’s not time to coast or slow down it’s only time to speed up in my eye.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field would have to be my engine, flexibility, ball awareness, work ethic, and how coachable I am. Off the field would have to be my passion for the game and how genuine I am as a person.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I am a hard-working football player that will give you everything I have on every snap and I am dedicated to being the best possible player I can be. I’m very coachable and eager to learn everything I can about the game. I promise I won’t disappoint when the time comes.
