What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goals for my last season was to win the conference and receive All-American. Unfortunately neither of these were accomplished, but we were able to make history with the most wins in school history.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
My covid season I was unable to compete in all of the games scheduled because I caught COVID. I felt like I did not get a chance to show how hard I worked for my senior year so I decided to come back for my fifth year and give it another try. I took advantage of what was offered to put myself in the best position possible.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I feel they would say I am a leader on and off the field and that I am a TEAM guy.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Studying film is what gives me the opportunities to be successful during competition. If you know what coverage they are in, I feel you can always find a way to get open. But every week is different, so I like to read everyone on the defense, (their likes and dislikes) Defensive player tendencies.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
Truthfully, I feel that I am very unique. My mentality that I bring shows my passion for the game. I have played receiver and running back, I also have my WHY for football so that is what keeps me going everyday, and I really love my teammates.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I am planning to train in PA to prepare for a pro day and any other opportunities offered.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I refuse to be a loser. Every loss provides another opportunity in life because it is a chance to learn. Another strength I have is I love to work, growing up my dad always told me, “work for everything in life”.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My WHY is what has got me to where I am today. I will be successful in life one day, I am just waiting for the opportunity to show my hard work.
