Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goals I set for this season was to make All Conference and to be the best leader and player for Limestone. With this being my last season, I gave it my all. I knew I was going to cement my legacy in the record books and in my own personal story. So I laid it all out there with no regret. I accomplished everything I wanted.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
Both my coaches and teammates would say I lead by example. I don’t talk, I just go get it. When a big play is needed, I come through with it. When the team needs to be rallied, I’m there ready to go with my brothers behind me.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Whenever I watch tape, I always see what other tendencies I can pick up besides formations. For example, I notice a tackle tilting his body forward indicating run, when he tilts backwards I indicate pass. I watch for their eyes, are they looking a certain way indicating the direction they’re going. Little small things like that that can help me be one step ahead in each game.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My effort separates me from other prospect players. Doesn’t matter where the play is or how long it goes, I will always have that motor going until it’s over. If a play is away from me, I’m hustling as fast as I can to it and either making it or being present. 4th quarter comes, I’m still going. I will out effort anybody that lines up across from me.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My off-season plan of training is to continuously work on my get off, hand work, footwork, speed drills, football specific movements in the weight room like band work, one arm/leg movements, hips and heavy recovery like ice baths.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My strengths and abilities I will bring to a team is are my quickness off the line, my range of pass rush moves, the ability to learn and adapt schemes and relentless effort on game days and practices.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to the NFL and all other pro leagues: I’ve never had anything given to me. Nothing has ever been handed to me in my life on a golden platter. I’ve had to work for everything I’ve earned. No matter what’s thrown at me, no matter what I go through, I always preservere. I’ve been through season ending injuries and winless seasons. Nothing has stopped me from chasing what I deserve. If any professional team gives me a opportunity, it will be something they won’t regret. I will give every ounce of being in my body to earn what’s mine.
