What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Some goals I set for my final collegiate year was to first complete my masters degree. Even though I love the game I know I wont be able to play it forever, and granted I did not think I would ever play again just last year getting my masters was very important to me. I also wanted to be an all conference WR and be a leader for my team. From the day I arrived my coaches and teammates saw me putting in the work set myself up to do both. It’s unfortunate I never got the chance to show it.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I think I was able to maximize my ability and get my confidence back after getting injured. My coaches also put me in situations to learn other roles on the offense including playing slot WR/TE and I realize how versatile I can be in an offense.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say Im a very hard worker that shows up and brings a good attitude everyday in workouts and practice. And off the field down to earth guy who likes to joke.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Its always nice to look at the great plays you make, but I like to focus on the mistakes write them down and make sure I fix them by the next day. Being detailed and consistent is key to success on the field.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I’m a WR prospect that can be put in a lot of different roles in an offense including putting my hand in the dirt. At 6’3” Im a deep threat guy but could separate on any route from a DB. I have been making a name for myself in post season games and combines and plan to show off my speed, agility, and strength at Pro day.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I’m just stacking good days. I know I have not reached my peak yet. I am ready to start combine training here in FL with Goldfeetglobal & Perform.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I am a player who has been through a ton of adversity on & off the field and managed to weather the storm. I bring a relentless competitive attitude everyday. I look at everyday as a day to better myself and the people around me. You will get a big playmaker on offense and special teams thats going to put it all on the line for the team. I like to motivate and encourage my teammates on & off the field and in all aspects of life for them be a better person.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I am beyond blessed to have the opportunity to play the game I love professionally. I have made it through so many challenges to be here, and I am only getting better by the day. Im very persistent in my goals and giving up is never an option for me. What ever team takes a chance on me me will get my best everyday, and no matter what my role is, I am going to grind and be the best at it.
