Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
My first goal was to finish the season with 0 sacks allowed, as well as win the Sunbelt Championship, and finish 1st team All-Conference.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Angry, Physical, Swag.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I train twice a day, in the morning and evening. As well as implement the best nutrition plan into my everyday life style. I will also work every day on perfecting my craft as an offensive lineman.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
I tend to read the safeties first, they ultimately decide what the defense is trying to do. I then move on to the alignment of the Dline and Linebackers to try to pick up on anything that will give away a blitz or twist. Then, I move on to individual players to pick up on their favorite pass rush moves or tendencies.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I have a great football IQ, I adapt very easily, I also have great feet which allows me to move my large frame in the correct position to dominate my block. I am strong mentally and physically. I am also well coachable, and tend to pick up on things at a fast pace.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I have the ability to be a great leader, as well as a sponge when learning. I have great goals, and I am well determined to get those goals accomplished. I have 2 degrees and I’m now finishing my masters in Emergency Management. This makes handling and overcoming adversity my strong point.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Although I took the long road in my college career. I personally believe I am one of the true sleepers in this 2018 class. I have the size, frame, speed, and strength to block anyone put in front of me. I work extremely hard and have blue collar work ethic, which is needed to play Offensive Line. I have learned from a lot of mistakes that I have made in my life and it has made me not just a better person, but a better football player as well. I am ready for the next level and any opportunity given to me to play at the next level WILL NOT BE REGRETTED.
