Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goals I set this year were pretty big wanting to get DPOY in my conference and be a All-American but I knew with the work I put in the offseason I could accomplish those and I did. PSAC West DPOY, 1st Team D2Elite 100, and Don Hansen 1st Team All-American.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
That I lead by example. I’m a hard worker and love competition and want to win at every drill I do regardless of who I go against.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I always watch the previous game to make sure I was taking the correct steps, my hand placement was correct, and to see what moves i was most successful on. Then when watching the upcoming opponents film I watch their base down plays first because you have to stop then on 1st and 2nd down to get the right to pash rush. Then for there pass play I look for how the Oline pass sets, if they’re low hands or high hands or huggers, how well they move there feet. My coaches did a great job breaking the film down so you can look at the exact things you wanted to see of opponents film.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
Versatility, when you look at my film I was one of if not the most well rounded line backer and the stats back them up. I’m a sound tackler recording 118 tackles with 21 TFLs. I can pash rush very well with 11 sacks. So my overall versatility.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Train for Pro Days. I trained at Grossetti Performance for a month until I move back to Maryland and now Im training at Future of Fitness in Crofton, MD.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My ability to pash rush from anywhere on the field, whether that is from OLB in a 3-4 or even running a stunt from standup ILB I have film excelling at all of the positions.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
You’re going to get a hard worker, with the love to learn more. A great teammate and leader, and will do anything to benefit the team.
