What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I set a goal to be one of the best running backs to come out of the MAC conference. Statistically! Unfortunately, I didn’t reach my goal but I use it as motivation so the best had yet to come.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I took advantage of the extra year of eligibility by taking my talents back to the FBS level after playing 3 seasons of FCS Ball. I showed that I can compete at a very high level against great competition. Actually, FBS competition wasn’t new to me because I played ball at UCF my freshman & part of my sophomore year before transferring to James Madison.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say I’m a guy who plays very fast, very explosive, and a guy who’s going to come to work to compete and make the guys around me better everyday. They would also say I’m a very selfless guy who’s willing to do anything to help my team be successful. Definitely a guy that you can count on to make the big play the offense need when my number is called.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I watch film on myself, I pay attention to areas that I really lack in and do all I could to improve in that specific area such as pass protection, route running, agility moves, and etc. on the other hand, when watching Film against opponents I focus on their weak spots. Areas where they normally get exposed and visualize how I’m going to make them pay when the ball is in my hands. I also look at the playing style of the Linebackers & DBs because that’s typically who I’m battling majority of the game when it comes to Pass protection and being tackled. I use film to be one step ahead of my opponents and to help myself think less while in the game.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
The ability to play fast, To contribute on any special team and the explosiveness I bring to my game. I’m dangerous with the ball in space and my speed puts me at an advantage when I have the ball in my hands.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My off-season will consist of mentally preparing myself and focusing on getting 100 percent healthy to be able to compete at the highest level I can possibly compete at.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I will bring explosiveness, speed, good hands for a running back, and a active special teams player who will give everything I got to beat the guy lined up in front of me.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
You will get a hungry and motivated guy who’s literally going to give everything I have into the sport and a guy who’s always trying to make my tomorrow better than my yesterday. Honestly I’m not too much of a speaker because I rather show you what I have in my toolbox. Remember my name.
