Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My goals were to lead the team in any way possible. I wanted to help build the new foundation and culture of the program for the future there. Personal goals with stats were to have as many tackles as I can and make plays to help the team.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I think they would say I am a very personable player. I care deeply about the people in my life and value the relationships built. I am always there for them off the field, and they know I’m always there on the field doing whatever I can to help win.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I like to find tendencies from an offense as a whole or even specific players. For example tells in stance or weight on hand for lineman. I also like to watch film of my brother and other great linebackers to see how they are reacting and playing.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My football IQ. Being a coach’s son, I’ve been around football my entire life. I have a natural instinct for plays and seeing what the offense wants to do before it happens. That combined with my film study helps me make plays others are a step behind on.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Workout with my brother with his lifting program and continue to stay in shape. While I finish my master’s I’ll have to find a small job on the side but lifting and football are my main priority.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My football IQ, and my ability to help out in multiple positions would help on the field. I was a 4 year starter as personal protector on our punt team, which is the QB of punt for us. Off the field I am a fun-loving, outgoing guy. I love opportunities to get out in the community and make a difference. I remember college and pro players being superheroes where I was younger so I always try to give back.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I’m just a guy who loves the game and wants to play for as long as I can. I will do whatever is needed of me, even if it’s carrying to waters around if that’s what helps the team win. I’m ready when the opportunity is presented.
