What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I wanted to repeat as an All-American and win the FCS defensive player of the year award.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
This extra year of eligibility I was able to get stronger, faster, and have another productive season to my resume.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I’m a very hard worker, who leads by play and not much word.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I look at the offensive tackles, tendencies, and snap count.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I feel like I’m different because I am able to to be productive at both FBS and FCS levels. 18 sacks in 18 games/FCS level 10 sacks in 14 games/FBS level.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I will train in Naples, Florida and play in the Hula Bowl as well with training with DL guru Brandon Jordan and DL coach Bryan Cox
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I’m a hard worker who finds his way to the football. I could immediately make a team pass rush better in every category: pressures, sacks, QB hits, and strip sacks.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I believe I’m one of the most talented and productive defensive ends in this draft class. If you want to draft somebody to get to the Quarterback, there are not a lot of people who can do it better with 27.5 sacks in 32 career games.
