Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My first goal was to win our conference and get a playoff berth, but unfortunately we could not make that happen. Personally, I wanted to go and showcase my versatility as a Defensive back by playing every position in the secondary and I believe I did that this past season.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say that I am one of the hardest working players they have been around and that I am a cerebral player as well. Also they would say that I am always willing to help my teammates with anything that they asked of me.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When I am watching film on myself I focus on correcting all of the little things such as foot work, alignment, pre snap adjustments and making sure I am doing my assignment correctly. When I study the film of opponents I look for tendencies they show, their favorite plays, and what they can do to attack the scheme that I am playing that week.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospects at my position is my size, ball skills, and character. I feel that i have a natural gift for going to get the football while it is in the air. Also I truly believe that no one is able to work harder than me as well.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I have been training in corona California since my season ended to get ready for my pro day and upcoming season. I have been focusing on getting more explosive, change of direction, and top end speed as well.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
The strengths I will bring are that I am a smart player, I willingly will play any position on special teams, and I will always compete on every single rep at all times. Off the field, I love helping people around my community whenever I am able to, no matter how big or small.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL/CFL or any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to professional teams would be that if they allow me to come into camp, I will show I can compete with their best players, make plays anytime I am on the field, work harder than anyone in the facility.
