What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I wanted to show that I was a complete defensive lineman. I am a terror in the run game and I wanted to show my pass rush skills and penetrating style of play.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
This extra year due to Covid helped tremendously. I was able to show fully my penetrating style of play. Being able to have a full fall season instead of just 4 games in the spring was very beneficial in giving me opportunities to showcase myself.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say I’m a leader and that I am willing to help the team in any way possible. I lead by example showing teammates how it should be done rather than talking about it.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Everything! From stances of the oline depending on the play, hand signals used before hand , every little detail matters. At the next level everyone is big and strong so you have to find advantages in other ways.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I am a complete player. I can do it all , play with technique, and reckless abandon. I also know when each is necessary to use. I am a powerful run stopper who also pressures the QB.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I’m currently training for my pro day at my school with my strength coach. I also do skill training 3 times a week to stay sharp on football skills.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I bring a skilled and smart player on the field , I am a quick learner and willing to help the team in any way. Off the field I am a good person who won’t bring disturbances or distractions to the team.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
With me in your organization you will be getting a complete player who cares and loves the game more than anything. A player who puts the team first and loves to win. Your also getting an absolute baller.
