What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Wanted to leave a legacy for my teammates to hold near and dear to them that they would find also inspiration from my personal journey in football.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I sharpened my skills in the area of preparation, grit and leadership. With those areas effected, it elevated my game.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
First they would say that I’m a leader and I care much about my teammates and coaches. I take pride where I’m from and my passion for the game is showed through my motor.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Studying film is basically breaking the game down to concepts. Like formations, sets and fronts all indicate patterns. Piecing each concept with its pattern slows the game down. Also player tendencies are huge, players are natured in their habits, so using their habits to your advantage or their disadvantage levels the playing grounds.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My integrity and character, lots of players work hard and are talent, but can they fit in a system where the staff, faculty and team can trust them? My best trait is being able to adapt and understand what is being asked from me.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Train religiously at home, with former university staff and personal trainers.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My relationship with God first and foremost. Energy, attitude, resourcefulness and adaptability. Lastly the ability to learn is my greatest asset, I’m not afraid of failure, accountability and growth.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I pray that our visions align with more than just the game of football and make long lasting relationships to better the world around us.
