Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?
I actually did not accomplish most of my goals but I finished my senior season with 38 tkls, 7 PBU’s , and no touchdowns allowed playing at Cornerback.
Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?
I’m a hard worker and that I have a very high IQ while on the field. I am willing to help and give anyone knowledge about the things that I know to help someone better their game. I am a very disciplined player and also very hard on myself but that is because I want to be the best at everything that I do.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When studying film I’m watching my opponent for that week trying to figure out what his tendencies are knowing if he’s physical how many releases he has and what routes that I’m going to get. Then I look for formations and what plays they run so I can help out my defense because I have a very high IQ on the field. Lastly I go back and look at the previous week and try to correct the mistakes that I made during that game in practice in preparation for the next upcoming game. So I won’t make that mistake again.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I feel as if my game gets better each year with my preparation for the upcoming year. I’ve been blessed to workout with the top trainers and also work with guys who already in the NFL. So doing their workouts with them while also gaining knowledge from them made me elevate my game a lot but I will never put anybody down and say that I am better than them because I’m a humble person and also that I always work to perfect my craft meaning that I always have something to work on.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will be training with my head Strength & Conditioning coach William Camp & also with the help of Leo Johnson who owns LJ Performance the number 1 trainer in Houston, TX who has trained really big names that have played in the NFL & also famous movie actors and comedians.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I would say that my strengths & abilities on the field would be that I lead by example and I play my hardest and I give my all when I’m out there each and every single game. I am passionate about this game so I will give everything that I have for it. Off the field I am a very humble person and I love people. Also I love giving back to the less fortunate communities because I love seeing the smiles on people’s face when I have done a good deed because believe it or not I was one of those kids that was less fortunate and I always wanted to be like the NFL players that I looked up to at a young age when they gave back to the community. Lastly & most importantly giving back to the people who helped me get to where I am at today.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
I am very passionate about this game of football. I always dreamed of becoming a professional athlete playing in the NFL as a kid. I am a hardworking man that has come a long way, that is very mature, and also about my business. I will not let anyone or anything get in the way of me accomplishing the goals I have set for myself. I also will not tarnish or miss represent any organization & brand of any team that gives me a chance to play for them. This is a life long dream that would be a blessing to come true. Any organization that gives me a chance will not be disappointed and as far as the other teams who don’t will have to pay for it.
Blessed to have the opportunity to play my senior year at CMU now it’s on to better days and still dream chasing till I make it to the Top – Senior Highlights here ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/kJPf0yFXiY
