Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I set out to become an All Conference player once again and an All American. As a team I sought out that we would have a winning season and continue to have the #1 ranked RB in the NAIA. Both were accomplished.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say that I am disciplined, hard working, strong-willed, passionate, physical, and Intelligent.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When studying film I focus on my helmet, hands, and hip placement. Making sure they are in the right position. Then moving to my feet. Making sure that I take the proper steps and eliminate the extra movement that can delay content with the defense. I also then study the defensive line and what there tendencies are on the down and distance. Seeing if there alignment is different in any shape or form. The secondary is a big part as-well, as I study where they line up. Stacked or not to be able to give off when a blitz is coming. I see what plays would be good to run against the defense as a whole. Lastly, I study the other teams offensive line. How they preform is a direct indicator on how they play against there own defense. So I see what they do and try to see what I may add for that game.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me is my attention to detail, ability to anticipate what the defense will do, accuracy in my snaps, consistent on and off the field, ability to self critique, and my versatility being able to play multiple positions on the line. I will be the first one to tell you when I mess up and be able to tell you what I can do better. I can also take correction and not get offended by it. The correction is to get me better.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My offseason plan is to get with my coach that has been through the NFL preparation process and work with him to become bigger, faster, and stronger in every aspect of the game. That includes my nutrition, stretching routines, strength training, cardio training, and position skill based training.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Things that I can bring are integrity, honesty, responsibility, leadership, respect for myself, those around me and in authority of me. Strong morals principles, and a work ethic that’s unparalleled.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I set my sights on professional football when I was 8 years old. Ever sense then I have set goals that have inched my way forward to where I am right now. I know how to count my wins and my losses. I was apart of a team where we went 0-10 and then 2 years of hard work later our team went 9-3 with a bowl win. With a good moral compass I will always represent the organization in a good light. You will get a man that continues to always find a way to get better and give his all for the team in whatever seems fit.
