What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Sat down with our coaching staff before the season and made it clear that I wanted to be one of the best linebackers in the conference and country. We set team goals such as winning a conference and making a playoff run, unfortunately those two did not happen as we missed the playoffs. Personal goals for myself was to be an All-Conference Linebacker, which I accomplished by being a 1st team All-Conference Linebacker, being an All-American was also a goal of mine which I have yet to find out about that as the list has not come out yet.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

Prepared a lot more than I thought it ever could, I understood the playbook more and watched a lot more film which then translated to the field.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I am a player that plays with a chip on his shoulder, grinds every day and does the little things right. It doesn’t matter if it is practice or a game, I treat them both the same with the level of intensity that I attack both.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

The most important thing to have as a linebacker is your eyes, I try to watch as much film as possible from week to week so that when it comes to game day, my eyes are not fooled. Improvement happens from week to week and the things you work on change as well.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I’d say the edge that I play with, my edge sets me apart because I’m someone who wants to win no matter what it takes and I bring a certain spark that other people feed off of!

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Get bigger, faster, stronger, the next level has freak athletes and you have to be able to match their intensity and athleticism in order to be great!

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Strengths and abilities that I bring are competitive spirit, work ethic, the want to be great, and my drive. All those things are my strengths whenever it comes to standing out on and off the field, without those things I’m just another player but those really do set me apart.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I am someone who works hard, plays with a chip on their shoulder and gives you their absolute all on and off the field. I’m a small school guy who will most likely get over looked but I am ready for the challenge and opportunity that comes with playing at the next level.
