Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The main goal that I accomplished was becoming team captain, that was such a major goal because it proved to others and to myself that I was the solid leader that I always knew I was and that my team needed. Also a weekly goal that I’ve had for my whole entire career is to go and play at the highest level possible game by game.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would talk about how contagious my attitude is. I’m a hard hitting, straight forward and tenacious defensive guy, and when I make a play it affects the whole game because it’s always right when we need a play to be made the most and the attitude and tenacity that I bring spreads to my teammates both offense and defense, my teammates would call me reliable in heated situations and they would speak to my great leadership abilities. They would also say I’m a guy that does my 1/11, I do everything in my power to make sure if there’s a busted play it’s not me that’s busting it.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I’m studying film, I first look and try to find the other teams “guy”, since i consider myself to be the “guy” I like to see the other teams best players and find different tendencies, movements, etc and try to match those things with different plays being called. I try to watch film and get to know a team because it’s easier to make plays when you know where the ball is going.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me is the fact that I’ve played all over the defense, I’m a guy that will play wherever I’m needed so I have experience in the whole defensive back field. I have linebacker experience, I even have film as an edge rusher at defensive end, I have experience at all of these different positions and I have a “can’t be beat” attitude that separates me from the other prospect in my position and in most cases the guys that I line up against.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Now, I train 6 times a week, I lift 3 times a week and I do speed training 3 times a week. I’m just training to trying to get right physically and mentally so I can be ready whenever my time comes. I have several different trainers that I call on to help me out in all aspects and I’m also getting more involved in Yoga, so I can be as loose as possible.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

The strengths that I bring is I make every play that comes my way and I’m a guy that is always in the screen on film. I completely exhaust myself every game to make sure I leave no plays on the field not made. I bring strong leadership abilities and I’m coming in with a chip on my shoulder, I have everything to prove. I’ve never been outworked in anything, I attack every game and every workout like it’ll be my last. I bring experience at an array of positions also. Off the field, I’m intelligent, I’m a Bill Gates Millennium Scholarship recipient, I’ve been team captain at every level and I’m a guy that’s deeply invested in my community. Wherever I go I try to make that place home and I try to change that place for the better. I’ve done countless hours of community service, I’ve started mentorship programs, hosted toy drives, I regularly go to schools and speak to the youth and I try to use my life and my platform as an inspiration because I know what the bottom feels like. Off the field I would keep using my life to inspire, lead and be an example.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

My final pitch would be, I was born for this. I’m a natural athlete, with long arms, a high vertical a fast 40 and i just have a knack for making plays. I’ve led the conference in Sacks and TFLS at SS/OLB. I have film coming down hill, tackling, covering, I’m physical and I have a high football IQ. I’ve always been a guy that people gravitate towards and I’ve always used my abilities as a leader the correct way, I bring a contagious positive attitude to a team and when i make plays it affects the whole game. Drafting me would be a good choice because I bring all of these things to you on the field and off the field anyone can vouch that I’m a great guy that only brings good to wherever I’m at. I’m the community engagement chair for our athletic departments SAAC Org so I’m involved in things other than athletics and I would use this opportunity to not only create good for my family and I but to impact people in the communities that i call home.
