Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

One goal was breaking a D2 reception record for one catch in every game that was 44 Games with at least on catch. I currently hold the record with 46. Another goal was winning my 5th straight Gulf South Conference Championship and making it back to the National Title game that we played in last year.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

I would describe my self as a Physical Receiver because I’ll try to run you over before trying to make a move and get up field. I love getting pancakes out on the perimeter. I would say I have good hands if the ball is in my window of opportunity. I’m going to try my best to get my hands on the ball and the rule is you touch it, you catch it, and I die off that rule. I’m a smart player, I don’t try to take any extra contact getting held up in a pile or trying to fight for extra yards. I will fight for extra, but I always keep my head on a swivel so I see people swarming trying to make that big blow to lay me out.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I’m training in Columbia, TN with Thalas Steel of “Steel Athletes”. We are working on everything, even if I think I have that mastered, I still want to work on that craft to help better me in my pro day and try to put up big numbers to show scouts that even though I’m from D2, I can still play ball with the boys that play in the SEC.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

When I study film, I look for the little things that DBs show to give away coverage such as how they stand in zone or how they stand in off man. I study to see if they try to get their hands on you fast at the line or do they play bump and run coverage. I also always take a peak at the Safety because in my mind, if you know what a Safety is doing, rolling off the hash or staying on the hash, then 9 times out of 10 you will know what the defense is playing.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I feel like what separates me from anybody else is I have a good body frame for a Receiver. I can play slot, I can play outside. Wherever a coach sticks me, I will play because I’m used to either position. I also have good hands and good routes. I’m Physical at the top of my routes breaking back into the QB, so I give my QB that window to throw the ball in so I can make a play on the ball. I also have good speed that separates me from anybody else. Ball awareness skills that I move with the ball if the ball takes me towards the sideline I can adjust to the ball good.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I will bring a good talented player that is going to play my heart out every play and never take a play off. A person who loves football and I will die to keep playing the game I love. Also, bring a person who has no off the field issues. A person who loves his family and wants to take care of his family before anything.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I would say if you choose me, you are choosing somebody you know you can rely on in clutch situations. I love having the pressure on me, I strive off pressure. I love being that person you can rely on in the 4th quarter that will make that big play for you to set up the team to win a game.
You will also being choosing a champion. I have been winning championships since I was in High School and in College.
