Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
My main goal was to help my team win a national championship. My way of doing my part in obtaining that goal was to make sure I was the best at my position. I wanted to be the leading tackler for the second year in a row, interception leader, and also be first team All-Conference/ All-American.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Physical, Instinctive, Passionate.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will continue to work my craft with a lot of footwork drills while also getting my body physically ready to perform at the professional level and working on my explosiveness.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When I watch film, I try to pick up on any tendencies that the QB, O-linemen or WR may have that could help me play faster on the field. Also, watching what type of plays the opponent likes to go with in certain situations and down and distance.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What separates me from other players at my position is that I have a motor that doesn’t stop. Once I am locked in game mode, I fly around on the field and it doesn’t matter who’s in my way, I make sure to get to the ball and make a play.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Some strengths that I have that would stand out would have to be that I can play my role and lead in different ways. I can be a leader by example, a vocal leader, or I can be the guy to get everyone pumped and juiced for the game.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
When a team takes me, they will be getting someone who not only works harder than most, but also pays attention to the small details. Someone that shows up everyday to give their best efforts to make the team better. Also, someone who puts the team above all other things to give us the best chance to be successful!
