Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

My goals heading into this past season was to help my team be the best defense in the conference if not the Nation. Of course I wanted to be the best Linebacker in the conference and Nation as well, but my team’s success was the number one goal. Each week teams came to play the Mustangs, they knew that our defense was going to be a problem to handle.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

My playing style in three words would be Fast, Instinctive, and Versatile. I align myself to be successful, and I have the speed to make plays all over the field. My knowledge of the game leads me to the most success on the field. I have played three different Linebacker spots in my four years of playing at WNMU and have had success at all three of them. I have played the Mike, Sam, and Stud linebacker in a 3-4 defense as well as a 4-2-5.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I will be training at Winners Circle Athletics in Corona, CA. My main focus is going to be on my 40, the pro shuttle, and any other drills that involve change of direction.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

When I am watching film, I look for what a team does in different situations. For example, when a team is in certain formations in certain down and distances in certain field position as well as the score of the game, what are they trying to do. I look at the weapons that they have on their team and how they utilize them. I look at their favorite plays they like to run and I look for certain tells that they give in them that will help me be even faster.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

My ability to get off of any block and my knowledge of the game are the two biggest parts of my game that separates me from everyone else in my position. If scouts were to watch my film, they would see that I was virtually unblockable. Not being able to block me comes from my understanding of how plays are supposed to fit up and how to attack them.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

If given the opportunity to play, you will get a player that is a leader on and off the field. Someone that understands the game and that will make every effort to be the best version that will fit what you are looking for in a versatile Linebacker and person.
