Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I came into the 2019 football season asking God to keep me healthy throughout the entire season. By Gods will I was able to garner 61 catches 1104 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. One of my goals was to get over 1K receiving, another was double digit touchdowns. I’m blessed and filled with gratitude that I was able to accomplish both of those goals I set for myself.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
Selfless, alway willing to do whatever it take to help the team win. A true brother, with love for every man on the roster. No matter what the circumstances are.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
I focus on the little things, could I have gotten more separate here? Did I catch that pass with my hands? Are my shoulders over my toes getting out of breaks? Am I using my elbows to pull myself through on outbreaking routes? Am I running out of breaks? Was my leverage good enough to execute the block effectively? These are all thing I ask myself while studying film. I believe you have to be your own critic, this forces you to put pressure on yourself. This will result in better play and enhance your game.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I think my God given ability, my speed separates from other and helps me get behind defenses and inflict damage to secondaries. Also my knowledge of the game from studying film, helps me play fast and comprehend what different defenses are throwing at me coverage wise.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I plan to train harder than I have before physically and mentally. Become even closer to God, and gather as much information I can about the next level from former teammates I had the opportunity to share the same locker rooms with.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
The ability to be coachable. Being able to listen and apply what it is that my coach, an any expert in this game is teaching me. My teammates and coaches will feel my outgoing personality, relentless work ethic, competitive spirit and my desire to do whatever it takes to make me a better person/football player.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
God willing, whatever organization gives me a chance is going to get the best version of me. Spiritually, physically and mentally.
