What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goals I set for my final season was coming into a new team for my grad year I wanted to make an impact on the team in any way.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I think I showed on my film that I took that extra year to become a better pass rusher. Being able to play all three downs is huge at the next level.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say I’m a guy that’s going to give them his all each and every play. I play like every play is my last and I never take for granted the gift God gave me to play this sport.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When watching film as a defensive lineman i study the O line as a whole. I look at weight on fingers, the depth of the o lineman, how the center holds the ball, and the steps they take when it’s Run Vs pass.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me is my knowledge of the game. You ask any teammate of mine I don’t just know what I am doing or the Dline is doing, but I know what the whole defense assignment is on every play.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Right now I train at EXOS in Kansas City with Ryan Ruble and have been training there since my first year of college.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I’m going to bring in a guy that just wants to work hard and learn from the veterans that have been there. I know my play ability is there but there’s also ways on how to be a professional athlete at the next level and how to handle it.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch would be I promise if you give me the opportunity I will make the most of it. I love the game of football and I’ll do whatever it takes to make that next level I just need that one opportunity. You are getting a versatile Defensive lineman that can play 1,3, and the 5 tech that can play all three downs.
