Name: Dennis Long
School: East Stroudsburg University
Position: Long Snapper
Height: 6’4″
Weight: 255

Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

Just to help make my kickers job as easy as possible and be 100% efficient on all snaps while improving my pro style blocking.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Calm, Consistent, and Coachable.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I will be training with my trainer Marc Gaudet of Verified Elite Training Systems at Deebo Training System in Sayreville, NJ. I will also be spending a decent amount of time in Arizona training with my snapping coach Gary Zauner.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

I look to make sure my form is consistent with my snap, that the ball is getting to the right hip of the punter, or the laces are straight up on field goals, and lastly, I look to make sure my footwork is correct in protection and when I run picks for my guards.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

Most long snappers do not have to protect in college, I have been in a pro style punt all four years of college and am now used to blocking after I snap, which is a key component to snapping as well. I am also bigger than a lot of other snappers which will also be a great help with protection.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am a very hard worker, I probably study more film than any Long Snapper in the country. I also consider myself a great leader among my teammates and fellow specialists.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I will be the epitome of consistency for any team that signs me, my goal will be so that you almost forget that I am on the team. The only reason you will know who I am is because of my consistency and leadership qualities.
