Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goals were to be Defensive player of the year for my conference. Although I didn’t receive that award, it made me want to work even harder. I know what I am capable of and I have a lot of improving to do.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
Relentless, and passionate. I play every game like it’s my last and I love it. I let my emotions out, only the positive emotions. I I make sure I’m prepared so negative thoughts (such as doubt) doesn’t become an issue before I get out there so I can always give my best.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When studying my self I look at my eyes, hands and feet. I watch it once again and then proceeded to grade each of those individually, as well as checking how well I did my job. I believe you have to be your toughest critic and have great self awareness, to me it’s the only way to really improve on your technique. Or whatever it is you need. Also ask questions from my coach, what ever he sees that I need to improve on.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me is the way I work on and off the field. I’ll do whatever it takes for me to get better. Or whatever the team needs me to do. I’ll do my job at a very high level. And high energy.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My plan is simple. Work on improving my overall strength and speed. Continue to raise my IQ of the game, and keep improving on my technique.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Speed, setting the edge firmly (which is something I take pride in,) and energy. As a defensive player you need those traits, it makes a difference in my opinion.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
I’m reliable and durable. I am a play maker and that won’t change when I make it on a team. I will put the work in to make sure of that. I understand that this is a grown mans’ league and Im a mature young man who has put in the time to be prepared for this opportunity.
