Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

Well the main goal of course was to win a championship, but we came up short on that. Another goal of mine was to just leave it all on the field. I knew this season could possibly be my last season, so I didn’t want to live my life thinking what if I went harder or gave more effort.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

I would have to say agile, explosive, and composed.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Well right now, I’m currently training for my pro day in El Paso, but while I’m home, I go to the sand pit to run the hills and do ladder drills most of the day. I also watch a lot of YouTube videos on current and past NFL Running Backs just to learn from them and to make my game as dynamic as possible.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

I mainly try to find the weaknesses in the defense, whether that’s a player, unit, or area on the field. I like to score points, so I’m trying to see how we can score as many as possible, even if that means I don’t touch the ball at all. I also try to see what all type of blitzing plays they have, so I can prepare myself.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

The main thing that separates me is my IQ. I know what everybody on the field is doing at all times.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

A few things that I bring to the table are my abilities to make people miss in open field and also run through people in between the Tackles. I finished the season with zero drops and zero fumbles, so I have nice ball security. Im a big character/discipline type of guy, so I do the right thing even when no one is looking.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Whoever takes that chance won’t regret it. I’m going to get the job done whether that’s on offense, defense, or special teams!
