Name: Darian Bryant
School: Virginia Union University
Position: OL
Height: 6-6

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My goals transferring into Union was to fight for a starting spot on the OL. I also set individual goals like being selected First Team All-CIAA, and being selected to the HBCU Legacy Bowl. I am proud to say that I achieved those goals.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say I’m a smart player I see the field and study the game . I try to find weakness in my match up and I also try to find how the defense is trying to attack us up front and communicate with the other OL on how to adjust to it.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I study film the first couple of days it’s just looking and understanding the defense if they like to blitz and how to pick up on keys like what’s their favorite blitzes, is there a player that tips off the blitz, does the defense alignment show what they are doing? Once I go through that I’ll study the DL and their moves.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from other pro prospect is my ability to adapt and learn. I’ve been to 3 different schools had 7 different head coaches and 6 different OL coaches, I’ve learn how to adjust and adapt and how to pick up the playbook fast and had to be placed in difficult situations and fight to succeed.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I have been training with Jason Elkin owner of Elkin Sports performance in Richmond Va, getting ready for combines and pro days. He’s a great coach and knowledgeable about how to improve performance when it comes to the combine drills and strength and conditioning.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

The strength and ability I’ll bring to a team is my professionalism me being an older player I have to come in being a pro. I have to be ready to step in and contribute faster because I don’t have that time to grow and develop. So continue to attack every opportunity, learning the playbook so when I get on the field I can play Confident and fast. As well as sharpen my tools like punch and footwork.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My final pitch to any pro teams is that I have fought hard for this opportunity for many years and you can bet on me that I won’t take it for granted. No only that I’m willing to work and learn and help a team win at any position on that OL, I’m passionate and I love the game and at the end of the day I want to win and play the game I love.
