Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Individually, I just wanted to find a way to be on the field as much as possible whether offensively or on special teams. Knowing this was my last promised football season, a lot of hard work was put in behind the scenes to prepare me both mentally and physically for the season. As far as the team goes, the main objective was helping lead my team back to another postseason game.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Tough, Fearless, Intelligent.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Getting both stronger and faster is always a given. Now I’m doing everything I can to be the best football player, so that I may be able to handle the rigors of a NFL football season.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
Being in the backfield, pass protection is a huge deal if you want to stay on the field. I pay a lot of attention to the defensive backs and their tendencies because they can tell a lot about the pressures a team will bring in any situation. I also study defensive fronts to gauge how the defensive line and linebackers play off of each other.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
My versatility. A team could line me up anywhere on a football field and I would excel at it. I can’t be boxed into one system or personnel group.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I’m as resilient and dedicated as they come. I like to lead by example. Whatever organization gives me the opportunity will have a player that is truly dedicated and all about the team.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
You will find the ultimate competitor and teammate in me. You can line me up anywhere on the field and I’m going to get the job done. I am truly team oriented and have always put the team’s success before my own personal accolades. From Day 1, I will be ready to work and contribute to the team’s success.
