Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

My Goals for my final collegiate season were to win a National Championship with my brothers, win a Conference Championship with my brothers, make 1st Team All-Conference with my brothers, and to enjoy and cherish playing the game of football with my brothers.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Fast, Physical, and Fearless.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I’m actually already training. I started training about mid January after winter break. I be in the weight room at least 3 or 4 times a week. I run every other day with the track team, so I can keep my speed and get even faster. I try to hit the field as much as I can to get some field work in while the weather is good to keep my footwork and DB skills sharp.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

When I watch film, first thing I usually want figure out who’s the starting Quarterback, Wide Receivers, and Running Backs. I also look at the backups too because you never know, anything can happen and your matchup is a whole new person. The second thing I do is take notes on the formations that the offense runs and see what are their weaknesses, strengths, and tendencies in their offense. The last thing I do, is I pay attention to the routes the Receivers run, what the Receiver does when they are getting the ball, and when they are not getting the ball because some Receivers tend to take a play or plays of when they aren’t getting the ball.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I think the main thing that separates me from the other players is my speed. I’m a track kid also. I ran track all 4 years of my college career. I’m a D3 national champion in the 4×100 with a time 40.01. Another thing that separates me is me being physical and fearless with whoever steps in front of me. I don’t care if your twice my size. I’m still going to give you my best shot play after play. I feel like as a DB you have to be smart, physical, and ruthless or a Receiver is going to have a field day on you. If you don’t establish that fear and show the Receiver that your physical and ready to play early. He basically won because he then has control over everything he does. He doesn’t have to adjust to anything. He is not out of his comfort zone. Once a Receiver is getting comfy, it’s kind of hard to get a good Receiver out of their groove once they got going. What also separates me from others players at my position is my speed and how physical I am. I’m able to run and get physical with Receivers as I’m going down the field and I’m also not scared to come down hill or fill a hole. I think that’s what some Cornerbacks is starting to lack, is being physical and being able to come up and make the tackle or get off the block and then come up and make the tackle.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My strength on the field is that I’m a competitor and really lay it all out on the field when I step on it. I’m willing to do anything to help put my team in the best possible position to win. I’m coachable and take on whats told to me. If I don’t understand, I will ask questions. Off the field, you wouldn’t have to worry about me much because I’m a laid back type person. I don’t like to be the center of attention all the time. I’m hardworking and humble and believe everything is earned and not given.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Choosing me to play for your organization, you will get an young, talented, anxious, passionate, coachable player. I play fast, physical, and fearless. Coming from playing football at a Division III college, I know it’s not going to be easy road. I know I will have to work twice as hard and you will see that on the field day in and day out.
