Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Goals I set for my final collegiate season revolved around being a great leader and winning a conference championship. Our team achieved that goal which was pretty satisfying.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say I have good man coverage, very athletic, passionate, and have great pursuit to the ball.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When studying film, I focus on ways I could make better tackles whether that is taking better angles or breaking down. In addition, I pride myself in understanding the schemes from week to week. I also study opponents tendencies to have a greater chance of succeeding.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospect is my size, athleticism, and speed. It gives me the ability to play man coverage on tight ends, slot receivers, and play within the box. Also, my ability to cover a lot of ground and make plays on the ball.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I will be training at EFT Sports Performance which located in Illinois. I plan on focusing primarily on explosiveness, speed, and footwork. Every aspect of the game of football is important to me; therefore, I will definitely be prepared to be adaptable to any team’s needs.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
What I can bring to the table is my ability to play all over the field. I take pride in running to the ball which is quite contagious. I have the ability to lead teammates by actions and vocally. Off the field, my wisdom is definitely a strength. I connect very well with people of any walks of life.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
I am an individual who is eager to succeed regardless of the circumstances life presents. From being evicted with four siblings and a single mother, living in the projects, and overcoming injuries – I still managed to excel in academically and in athletics.
