Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goals I set for myself was to be better than I was last season, the season before was good but it wasn’t great. I wasn’t satisfied, I knew coming into the season I had to turn my level of play up & dig deep into something I haven’t did in previous years to be a dominant backer in the conference.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
Dedication, Trustworthy, passionate, A Player-maker, A Quick Learner. I’ve been in tuned into making myself become a Leader because the game of football is different in my view. At the end of the day it’s just a game, to athletes like me it’s different. This is what we live for, the atmosphere of the game brings the best out of you. Physically, Mentally, & emotionally.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Studying the Offense, the players I’m up against, the personnel. Studying the offense as a defensive player is key on shutting them out the game to win, to be the playmaker to give my team a chance to be great on the field.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My mindset, I’m so strong mentality when it comes to this game. You have to stay mental stable in this game or you’ll break with ease & won’t be a coachable player. Coaches pay attention to everything out of a player. The little things catches their eyes. I stand out in my position because of the dedication & will effort on going beyond the limits.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Stay on road of grinding to make the best opportunities count when it comes my way. Listen to the people in my corner for the best options. Take the advice on becoming even a better linebacker even after a great season.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Energy & Leadership. Those are the two key MAIN factors from me. Have to bring energy to this game, even at practice I’m energized because I love this game so much because of the history of those that came before me & others. Real is going to recognize real at the end of the day. When those see what you bring, there going to rock with you.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to the NFL & other Pro leagues, Cory “Duce” Chairs is a one of a kind, I’m out to prove myself more & more to the leagues to show I can hang with the big dogs, even take over the league as the main dog of the league. I’m Willing to learn & show how deep this game means to me to improve my game even more from previous years before as a backer. In the NFL or any of the other pro leagues as a linebacker, I want the best advice to take from those at my position to be apart of a list of great backers before me. Turning dreams into a reality is something a kid want’s & is destined to conquer.
