What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goal was to help my team win a championship and we did. We won the Independence Bowl against BYU. Also I set a goal of making All Conference and I did that as well.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I took advantage by using the extra year to get bigger, faster, stronger, and also more flexible. Unknowingly the extra helped me showcase my versatility because I moved from LG to RT halfway through the season.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
A smart and selfless player. A leader and a guy who gets the job done no matter what is asked.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I focus on tendencies, whether it be tendencies in my own game (whether or not I give away run or pass). I also look at defensive tendencies, like a LB being wider than usual, defensive linemen switching or tightening their stance. Also I look at the safeties to see their alignment and if they are giving away a possible blitz.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My versatility. Being able to play whatever position I am asked and my ability to do that at a high level.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I have signed with LMG Sports and started training and preparing for pro day.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I am a guy who handles his business on and off the field. A professional. Someone who comes to work everyday. I am smart and able to adapt to any situation I am in.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
Come and get one of the most versatile and dependable offensive linemen in this year’s draft. I will be a huge asset to any organization who gives me an opportunity.
