What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I was able to receive unanimous first-team all conference selection, be a team captain, and lead the team in catches.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I took advantage of the extra year by honing in on my route technique, getting fully healthy, and focusing on my football IQ.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I am a gamer and a competitor who will do whatever it takes for my team to win. They would also say I am a hard-working, reliable player who is unselfish and truly cares about his teammates and coaches and takes coaching well.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

While watching film, I always focus on how my steps can improve when inline blocking. I also watch how my route technique influences defenders’ hips so that I can create separation.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I can be an effective blocker and a matchup problem for linebackers and safeties. I have soft hands and great awareness to exploit soft spots against zone defense. I am a great addition to any team because of my positive impact in the locker room and to overall team culture.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I am training at Neuroforce1 in Arizona, where I will increase my speed, strength and explosion

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I will bring the ability to be a great special teams player and solid NFL tight end who is reliable and available. I will also be a positive locker room guy who other players like and trust and can rely on. I bring the ability to become even better through my commitment to taking coaching points and improving my game.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

By giving me a chance, you are getting someone who is hard-working, reliable, very personable and a positive impact and reflection on the organization as a whole. Additionally, you are getting a player with unique capabilities that make me a good NFL tight end and a great special teams player, which makes having me on a 53 man roster a major asset to the team.
